Our matcha is sourced from prominent regions of Japan, regions where shade growing, hand harvesting and stone grinding are still practiced with the same care they have been for centuries. The origin is part of what you taste and experience.

Ceremonial grade means nothing, mostly a marketing term used by many brands. It recognises the highest grade of matcha, made from the youngest, most shade grown leaves of the first harvest (ichibancha), stone ground slowly to preserve nutrients and flavour. It is intended to be whisked with water alone, not hidden in a latte. If your matcha is bitter, it is not ceremonial grade or first harvest.

Matcha contains roughly 19 to 45mg of caffeine per gram of powder. Since a typical serving uses 2 to 4 grams, a standard cup generally contains about 40 to 180mg of caffeine, less than a shot of espresso, but paired with L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes calm focus. This combination is what makes matcha feel different from coffee: alert without anxious, energised without edgy.

Keep your matcha in its tin, away from light, heat and moisture. An airtight container in a cool, dark cupboard is ideal. Do not refrigerate unless the tin is properly sealed, condensation is matcha's quiet enemy. Once opened, use within 4 to 6 weeks for the best flavour and colour.

Unopened, our matcha stays at its best for 12 months from the date of production, printed on the base of each tin. Once opened, we recommend using it within 6 to 8 weeks, not because it becomes unsafe, but because the flavour softens and the colour dulls.

Shipping is complimentary on orders above ₹999. Below that, a flat shipping fee applies at checkout. For gifting orders or bulk purchases, shipping is always complimentary.

Returns are only accepted for matchaware products that are unused and in their original packaging. Refunds or replacements are provided for damaged or lost in transit products with supporting proof. Matcha powders are not returnable. Refunds, if approved, are processed to the original method of payment within 7 to 10 business days of the product reaching our warehouse.
